Hello and welcome to the February edition of
On The Road. A nice variety of assignments, speculation work,
and stock sales made last month a busy one. Let's take a look......................

College Basketball is in full
swing. There are plenty of images taken from the catwalks
of players making baskets, but now and again the contact is
so intense that a player is knocked down. This provides a
slightly different element to the image....a moment. Nikon

Women's College Basketball is also in
season. I like this image very much and feel that it will
bring some strong stock sales for the future in the book

Women's Waterpolo. Here is a terrific sport
for pictures. Water and arms flying all over the place with
color and the intensity of athletes faces. Nikon D2H, ISO200,

Olympic swimmers on their way to Athens
were training at the USOTC. This is a turn at the wall.
Many swimmers use a flip turn style, but not this one. This
touch turn style provided an interesting image and something
more unusual. NikonD2H, ISO200, Shutter250 f8 , RAW/NEF
File, Lexar 1G flash card, WB flash, Nikon 70-200 VR Lens
with TC-14E 1.4X Teleconverter, 4 Elinchrom 1000r Sport

Stock Sale. Remember that a large part of
my business is selling images that I own and keep on file
to magazines, book publishers, and advertisers. This request
for the USOTC in Colorado Springs, Colorado came from Sports
Illustrated. Nikon F5 film camera, Kodak film, ISO 100, Nikon
17-35mm lens. |

Here is an image made on speculation.
It will probably sell as the Summer Olympics get closer
and magazines begin their research for images. A LightPainting
of Fencing gear. I hope it will sell for an opener in a
magazine or book. Nikon D2H, ISO200, 2 minute exposure,
f22 ,WB Shade-3, RAW/NEF File, Lexar 1G flash card, Nikon
12-24mm Lens and a Stylus Streamlight to LightPaint with
Bogan Tripod.
